Mike O'Leary— 23-15-2

Mike O’Leary was Monte Vista’s Head Coach in an era where you could begin to see good things in store for the Mustangs. The team rushed back to the top of the EBAL standings and became a cradle of future Valley coaches with names like Ladaceur, Cockerton, and Stockberger. In 1980 the team charged to a 7-0-1 record, before dropping their final two games. Coach O’Leary came to Monte Vista as a successful coach in Utah, and when he left after the 1980 season, he moved to the Central Valley.
