Design Notes

What we're optimizing for

Density. Sports-Reference DNA. Tables should fit a lot of data without feeling cramped. Row padding is py-1, not py-2.
Tabular numbers everywhere. All stat columns use font-variant-numeric: tabular-nums so digits align vertically across rows.
Restrained color. Navy + gold are the only branded colors. Tables are cream + ink. W/L/T badges use deep, newspaper-style green/red/gray, not bright modern hues.
Serif headers, sans body. Roboto Slab for display (signals "record book") and Source Sans 3 for body (legible at small sizes for data).
Section bars. Each section uses a double rule above + bold caps title to feel like an almanac chapter break.
Print-friendly by default. Cream paper background and quiet rule colors mean the prep sheet will print well without a separate print stylesheet.
